BLT is two front doors onto one job — a desk that runs on a keyboard and a crew app that runs in a pocket. This is how to set up a job, run your week, and get your people using it.

Quickstart
The shortest path from nothing to a working job. Fifteen minutes if your estimate is already in a spreadsheet.
- Sign in to the desk Go to app.getblt.ai and sign in with your mobile number. You’ll get a six-digit code by text. There’s no password anywhere in the product.
- Create the job Name it the way you’d say it out loud — the version you’d use in a text message.
- Load the budget Upload a CSV with phase names in one column and dollars in another. It’s read in your browser and shown back to you before anything is saved.
- Set a target finish This is what every later “are we slipping” number measures against, so make it a real date.
- Get the app in your crew’s hands They download BLT from the App Store, sign in with their phone number, and join with a six-character code.
- Take the first photo Everything else keys off this. One photo from the field and the job’s page starts filling in.
Signing in
Same phone number, both places. Enter your mobile number, type the six digits it texts you, and you’re in. Nobody sets a password and nobody resets one.
Joining a job
Everyone except the person who created the company joins with a six-character code. It’s uppercase, avoids characters people confuse — no letter O, no letter I, no zero, no one — and it’s good for fourteen days.
In the app, a brand-new account shows No job yet. with two choices. Press I have an invite code, type the six characters, then Join the crew. The feed fills in immediately.
Use your phone number, not email
The app offers a Sign in with email link. It only works for accounts that already have a password set, which crew accounts won’t. Phone number is the way in.
Once you’ve pressed Text me a code there’s no back button on that screen. If the number’s wrong, close the app and reopen it.
Roles
Roles run owner, manager, foreman, crew and sub. Owners and managers see everything in the company and can bring people in; everyone else sees the jobs they’ve been added to. Nobody can invite someone at a higher rank than themselves.
